Leadership Opportunities

Executive Board Positions

VP of Recruitment
Oversees the entire recruitment process for new members. Duties include organizing information sessions, launching applications, coordinating interviews, and facilitating onboarding. This role ensures that SBCC attracts a diverse, passionate, and talented group of students who align with the club’s mission and values.

VP of Internal Affairs
Focuses on fostering a strong and positive club culture. Responsible for planning team-building events, organizing bonding activities, maintaining member engagement, and collecting feedback. This role ensures that members feel connected, supported, and motivated throughout their SBCC journey.

VP of External Affairs
Leads the club’s relationships with external stakeholders. Maintains ongoing communication with current clients, identifies potential new clients, organizes collaboration events, and hosts guest speakers from the consulting and business community. This role plays a key part in expanding SBCC’s impact beyond campus.

VP of Finance
Manages all financial operations of the club. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining the budget, overseeing transactions, handling reimbursements, and allocating funds efficiently across different initiatives. This role ensures the financial health and sustainability of SBCC’s operations.

VP of Training & Development
Designs and implements all training programs for club members. Leads workshops on consulting fundamentals like case interviews, business strategy, Excel, and professional communication. Conducts comprehensive training sessions at the start of each semester, setting members up for success on their projects.

VP of Professional Development
Prepares members for careers in consulting and related industries. Organizes resume and LinkedIn workshops, mock interviews, and networking events with industry professionals. This role provides members with the resources, skills, and connections needed to succeed beyond USC.

VP of Projects
Oversees all SBCC consulting projects. Works closely with Project Managers to monitor project progress, maintain quality standards, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure timely deliverables. This role is critical in maintaining SBCC’s reputation for excellence and client satisfaction.

VP of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
Leads initiatives to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment within SBCC. Responsibilities include developing DEI strategies, hosting educational workshops, and promoting a culture of respect, belonging, and open dialogue. A major focus of this role is ensuring that members are culturally aware of the surrounding South Central Los Angeles community and are equipped to work thoughtfully, respectfully, and effectively with the local businesses we serve.

Other Leadership Positions

Project Managers
Assigned to individual client projects. Leads a consulting team of 4–6 students, facilitates weekly meetings, manages deliverables, maintains client communication, and ensures the team stays organized and professional.
Applicants who express interest in serving as Project Managers will receive higher priority for E-Board consideration.
This role is ideal for students ready to take on a leadership challenge and directly oversee a client relationship.
